A Philosophy Rooted in Bhakti
Bhakti Yoga, the path of loving devotion towards God is at the center of Kripalu Ji Maharaj’s philosophy. He stressed that merely acquiring knowledge is not enough for the deepest craving of the soul. His teachings include that one needs to be devoted, to remember God, and to have a true spiritual master to proceed on the spiritual path.
His explanation of the love of God is very associated with Radha Krishna bhakti. He said that Shri Radha is the supreme expression of divine love and requested devotees to develop humility, surrender and remembrance of Shri Radha in all their actions.
Roopdhyan Meditation and Spiritual Practice
Roopdhyan Meditation is another important element associated with his teachings. It is a practice of lovingly remembering the divine form of Shri Radha Krishna and their pastimes along with remembrance of their qualities. It gives devotees a concentrated meditation and allows them to use their minds to participate in devotional remembrance.
